Digital tachographs are slowly but surely replacing the original analogue tachographs. Like analogues, the digital unit records driver activity times driving, other work, rest and breaks. However, unlike the analogue, which records only to a sheet, the digital units will record to the driver smart card and also holds the information in the Vehicle Unit.
Digital Tachograph card application packs are available from any of our Branches. We can also offer you full training, free of charge, on how to use these cards which takes approximately 2 hours. For further information, please contact one of our offces or alternatively, you can call DVLA direct on 0870 8501074 or look at their website www.dvla.gov.uk
